Rewriting [Her]story the Podcast

As I sit here and write this blog, it feels so fucking surreal. Last year, I wrote down a manifestation to start a podcast with my best friend, and NOW ITS FUCKING HAPPENING! As I reflect back on writing that, I wonder if I truly believed it was possible or if it was “just a dream”. REGARDLESS, it’s a fucking reality now! Everything just seemed to fall in line. We started offering Masterclasses in December and some of the women were like “you guys should start a podcast!” and then money literally, fell from the sky and allowed us to get fancy equipment, and the rest is history! We linked up with my brother who knows all about sound engineering and editing since he is a musician, did a practice run, and today we recorded our intro and two LEGIT EPISODES! We truly believe we have a message to send to the world and want to use this podcast and our social media accounts to do that!

I honestly forgot how much I fucking love to be creative and artistic. I have always loved all forms of art, dance, gymnastics, drawing, painting, scrapbooking, body art, changing my hair color, you get the point! Creating things for my business has sparked so much joy, whether it be writing a blog post, publishing my journal, or now creating content and podcast episodes, I fucking love it! Am I worried about negative feedback? Nah, I’m honestly not. Want to know why? Because I know that there will always be someone who does not like or agree with what I have to say or what I post or write or whatever. That is me accepting reality, 5 years ago I would have said “fuck yeah I’m terrified!” But now, I know, I cannot please everyone, and I am okay with that. I won’t go out of my way to offend anyone or blatantly disrespect them, but I know that my approach is not for everyone.

While the podcast is called Rewriting [Her]story, it is a podcast for everyone! We are two people who identify as women which is where the title comes from, but please know it will appeal to everyone and we will discuss things relevant to all! I honestly still can’t even believe this is real! It’s almost like having another baby, LOL! This is OUR creation and it will grow and change and evolve and I literally cannot wait to see where this takes us! Thank you to everyone who already believes in us and supports us! Let’s fucking do this!
